“Oltre lo Specchio Milano Film Festival” aims to explore genres, reclaiming their political and social value over their more entertaining and playful aspects. The festival will take place in Milan from November 6th to 12th at RUFA – Piazzale Lugano 19, offering ample space for collateral meetings that will precede the screenings. The films will be presented in three different sections: an “International Competition” featuring films from all over the world, an “Out of Competition” section with more mainstream titles, and a “Newcomers” section dedicated to debuting directors. This structure also seeks to provide a greater continuity with the other festival organized by Cineforum Robert Bresson, the Asian Film Festival, now in its 22rd edition. Genre cinema is alive, and perhaps even more important than arthouse cinema. “Oltre lo Specchio Milano Film Festival” strives towards engaging a young, diverse, and dynamic audience, always ready to offer new perspectives.
